Life after cancer treatment ends can be a difficult time.  Many people think that you can go back to normal, but things may feel very different to the “old you” and things may never be the same again.  You may experience mixed emotions like relief, anxiety, and lingering physical fatigue.  Transitioning to a “new you” is a process of physical and emotional rehabilitation, focusing on managing long-term side effects, adopting a healthy lifestyle, and regaining control. Survivors often need time to adjust to a changed self-image and to connect with support systems for navigating life beyond cancer.

Here at Yorkshire Cancer Community, we asked our friends with lived experience of cancer to share their hints and tips on how to cope with life after cancer.
