Thank you to our generous sponsors, whose support makes our mission possible. Your commitment empowers us to continue to provide information and support to people affected by cancer, to raise awareness of cancer signs and symptoms and ways you can reduce your cancer risk, and give voices to service users to ensure their lived experiences can influence cancer services. It is because of your partnerships, we are able to make a meaningful difference in our community and move closer to a future where no one has to face cancer alone. We are deeply grateful for your compassion, dedication, and belief in our work.

Meet some of our Sponsors

West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance are our largest sponsors, and fund both our Cancer SMART and Patient VIEW projects.

We have formed a wonderful partnership with Programme Director Jason Pawluk and the WYHCA team over the last few years, and are extremely grateful for their ongoing help and support in making both projects such an asset to us and our local community.

Thanks to our partnership with WYHCA we came runner up in the Partnership Working to Improve the Experience category at the PEN Awards 2025.  Thank you so much.

White Rose Academies

We wanted to say a very big thank you to form 7F at Leeds West Academy for their fantastic fundraising efforts.

During their First Give charity event, the pupils from form 7F nominated us as their charity of choice, and raised £124.10 for us.

Stewart went along to talk to the students about Yorkshire Cancer Community and the work that we do to help people affected by cancer, and how we help to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer and how to reduce your risk.  The students put together a wonderful presentation on why it is important to raise money and awareness for Yorkshire Cancer Community. Three of the chosen students in the form presented this in front of 400 of their peers! It was a very exciting opportunity for them, and they did a fantastic job.

Altogether the students raised £124.10, and they did this with the combined efforts of a street bake sale and also by making and selling loom band bracelets. This was a brilliant team effort, and they are proud of what they have been able to raise, and rightly so.

Mednet

November 2025 saw the start of a new partnership for Yorkshire Cancer Community and Mednet – a medical communications agency based in Leeds.

We began the partnership with a Cancer SMART lunch and learn in Mednet’s Leeds office, which was also streamed live to several remote workers. The lunch and learn was incredibly well received by the team, with a couple of members expressing an interest in working towards becoming Cancer Champions in the future.

But the session was only the start of more exciting things to come.

The team also ran a potluck lunch in the Leeds office, where people donated their lunch money in exchange for home-cooked food, prepared by volunteer Mednet chefs with all the money going to Yorkshire Cancer Community. The company then topped up the donations to match the target of £500.

Mednet have also assisted with updating and modernising the slides that Yorkshire Cancer Community use during Cancer SMART talks. There are also several exciting projects underway that will look to go live on social media early in 2026 raising awareness about the links between cancer and mental health.

The teams at Mednet and Yorkshire Cancer Community are incredibly excited about the potential of upcoming projects together. Both organisations have a long history of supporting patients living with cancer and raising awareness to aid early diagnosis.
